My spring quarter of my senior year I focused on a capstone project that encompasses everything I have learned through out my career at SCAD. I got to pick my own project on what I would like to focus on as a career after graduation SCAD. I decided to do a collaboration Sephora + Em Cosmetics to combine my love of cosmetics with packaging and social media. This process has been a journey but I am so excited to be done with this project and be able to share it with everyone.
For this capstone, aside from packaging I was responsible for making mock social media campaigns, along with doing my own mock campaigns that consisted on styling and makeup. I created a logo style guide to maintain consistency throughout all products to follow not only for products but as well as campaigns.
Em Cosmetics is an E-commerce makeup line that was created by YouTube Guru Michelle Phan. She based this makeup line on her needs of her fan base and they have been a part of the whole process. She just recently bought over em cosmetics by L'Oreal and is currently rebranding her cosmetics line and making new cosmetics to be sold. Through this brand she is encouraging others to be themselves, empower them and letting them express themselves through makeup.
